Teotleco Wall Plaque

30.00

Rad late 60s’/70s wood block wall plaque with an intricate metal overlay depicting what appears to be the god Mixcoatl, as depicted in the Codex Telleriano-Remensis, who was god of the heavens for multiple cultures including the Aztecs. As explained on the back, the plaque is dedicated to “Teotleco” or December, the last month in the Aztec/Mixtec calendar.

The plaque is 4.75’’ x 5.25’’ and is good vintage condition, with the just the right amount of patina.
