Gorgeous rustic blackware handled pot from Oaxaca. Circa 1950s-60s or earlier, when the barro negro was usually unburnished and more utilitarian, instead of for more decorative use as is the case today. Some of the brown color of the original unfired clay is still visible, making for an intriguing visual piece. In good vintage condition.
Cazuela measures 8.5'' in diameter and approximately 3'' deep.
